REMARKABLE VICTORY BY TEAM INDIA- MATCH REPORT
Courtesy of the innings played by Young Torque Shubman Gill (104 runs of 97 Balls, 6th ODI Century) and by experienced Shreyas Iyer (105 runs of 90 Balls, His 3rd ODI century ), India posted a humongous Score of 399/5 of their 50 over. The chase by the Aussies was never expected to be easy but the way the Aussies surrendered starting from the chase, was not expected from a Team like Australia. It started with Mathew Short and then Steve Smith was also dismissed by Prasidh Krishna in the same over, putting Australia on the Backfoot from the start. The match was shortened to 33 overs courtesy of Rain still Aussies needed 317 from 33 overs. The Jolt given by Prasidh at the beginning was so significant for the Aussies that they were not able to recover from it and wickets kept on falling. However, resilience was shown by Abbott and Hazlewood in the end with stitching more than 50 runs partnership between them. However, the Target was too much for them.

POSITIVES FOR TEAM INDIA:: PROBLEM OF PLENTY
If we look at the Positives for Team India the probably Team India has probably emerged as one of the favorites of the ODI WC 2023 post-Asia Cup Performance and Such a dominant performance over the Aussies. KL Rahul looked in Decent Touch by scoring 2nd consecutive ODI half-century and our own 360-degree player Surya Kumar Yadav played a wonderful knock also hitting his 2nd consecutive ODI 50 against Australia. But more importantly, runs came from the Bat of Shreyas Iyer who is in the scheme of Things as a middle-order player in ODI WC 2023 in India. Shubman continued his Top form and has learned the habit of hitting Hundreds from veterans like Virat and Rohit.
Ravichandran Ashwin also picked up 3 Wickets along with Ravindra Jadeja who also got 3 scalps. Could Ashwin be the offspinner that Team India needed for the ODI WC? Is it Big Gamble to not include Yuzi Chahal in the squad? Krishna is also a future prospect that needs to be groomed.
ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD
One of the Biggest causes of concern for Team India starting from the Asia Cup has been our Sloppy Fielding. Starting from the Nepal Match in the Asia Cup where Team India dropped 3 catches to yesterday's Match where 2 Catches were dropped and some efforts put in by players were also below standard. Team India must learn from its mistakes. Remember Big teams won't give you a chance a second time.
Overall Team India looks in Good Shape and rhythm & as Big Goats are coming back for the 3rd ODI at Rajkot will further bolster our side. It's now up to Coach Dravid and Captain Rohit Sharma to pick up the proper Team in WC and have a Blast!!!
Wishing Best Wishes to Team India
